Thanks Erik,
My blog is specifically about Type II diabetes, because that's what I have personal experience with. Type I diabetes is very different and often happens quickly as the islet cells are killed by the immune system. For this reason, I believe it's clear that type 1 diabetes couldn't be a consequence of making unhealthy choices on a daily basis, with the possible exception of actions that put the immune system out of balance.

Do you have any suggestions for how I could be more specific?

unless you know, its Type 1 diabetes, or genetic diabetes, both of which are fairly common. Just saying it might be good to specify.

The author of doingdiabetesdifferently.com has written an excellent article. You have made your point and there is not much to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not argue with: A person who says something is impossible is usually interrupted by the person doing it. Thanks for the info.

Diabetes can be prevented by just having a physically active lifestyle. Just exercise everyday and avoid eating too much. Avoid sweets and high carb foods too.

Most people get Diabetes because of the lack of exercise and overeating. We should be more aware of our lazy lifestyles and start exercising regulary to avoid Type II Diabetes.
